Description:

Dark ones (bronze or black) are nocturnal (awake at night). Light ones (brightly coloured) are diurnal (awake during the day). Can badly damage cultivated plants. Have been known to crawl into an adults ear and not be able to get out. The person needs to go to a doctor to get it removed.

Spotted by Lisa just behind a sea kayak in the swell near Simonstown. We thought it was a shark since there are a lot of sharks along this section of the coast. Shark spotters sit on the hills above all the beaches.
