Hello to all our lovely friends and family.
Through this site we’re hoping to share our 3 month Southern Africa trip. We’ll be traveling in Mpandangare the Great, who we’ve kitted out for big distances, self-sufficiency and camping in the bush.
We’re aiming to do a 10-12,000km counter-clockwise circuit through South Africa (from Cape Town up through Barrydale, Upington, Graaf Rienet, Nieuw Bethesda, Bloem, Nelspruit), Mozambique (Maputo, Xai-Xai, Inhambane, Bazaruto, Gorongosa), Malawi (Mangochi, Monkey Bay, Lilongwe), Zambia (Lusaka, Livingstone, Victoria Falls), Botswana (Kasane, Chobe, Savute, Central Kalahari & Mabuasehube), then back down to Cape Town (Upington, Augrabies, Springbok & Paternoster).
We’ll be sticking to the California school syllabus (Bea & Mila) and various photographic and graphic projects (Lisa & Ralph) as we make our way. We hope to have internet access at best once a week, but it’s not guaranteed, so do please excuse us if updates are irregular.
…and why yebomama? Yebo means “yes” in Zulu, and we’re so happy to be back in Mama Africa…
